smoking affects the whole body because the inhaled smoke gets delivered into your bloodstream into the whole body. Therefore it is the cause of many cancers, not just lung and oral cancers. Also emphysema, COPD, asthma [worsens it], poor nutition, decreased ability to taste and smell, etc, etc.
