I am not diabetic but I might be heading there based on how much my sugar swings. Has anybody in this type of situation been able to knock off that darn pad of belly fat? Last year at this time I was 12 lbs lighter.
I don't eat that much but my sugar goes up to the 130s and then crashes to the 80s and I'm guessing this is causing my fat to build up and not go away.
This seems to be simply from avoiding meat and eating fruit or honey and low-fat ice cream at times. I hardly eat any fat. But I'm getting fat anyway.
I eat whole-grain, low-carb, low-fat bread only and eat low-carb, low-sugar oatmeal and don't drink sodas. I'm careful.
What am I doing wrong? Something, apparently, b/c it's all being stored as fat. And my sugar should not go that high.
