not sure for what but Vaseline is just petroleum jelly and is very pure. should have no reactions from it. It helps heal lots of things so it won't cause infections even though it is not an antibacterial gel.

Well, you really should not eat it, unless you enjoy diarrhea and losing fat-soluble vitamins, but not many adverse reactions. However, DO NOT use it as a lubticant for sex if using latex condoms or other latex birth control devices. It will destroy the rubber and cause failure.

Also, no greasy ointment should be used on burns.

Never had any adverse reaction, other than thinking that the stuff is absolutely disgusting when used for sex.

Not usually, unless you have a sensitivity to petroleum-based products, which vaseline is.

You shouldn't be using it on private parts--to oily. Use something specifically for private lubrication.

It should be hypo-alergenic. It is slightly possible though.
