Sinus headaches certainly seem to trigger migraines for me! If he can do something to stay clear at night, I think he will have much better luck with migraines. If I'm the least bit congested at night, I take a dose of Sudafed; I also use Flonase on a regular basis to keep the swelling down. If the two of you can stand to sleep a little "cool" instead of in a warm room, it helps (lots of blankets and a good comfortor can be a big help). Also be sure to keep pets out of the bedroom, as they can trigger allergies, which in turn can trigger sinus blockage. Good luck, and I hope he feels better soon!

You can check with your pharmacist to see what over the counter would be best for the symptoms you have......if you don't have a pharmacist then check the over the counter boxes that match your symptoms. If you have high blood pressure they say you can take Chlorasedin. (not sure if the spelling is right on that one) If you have yellow to green discharge then that is a sign of a sinus infection in which case, you would need to see a physician for an antibiotic. ----- Over the counters that are good for sinus are Claritin, Dimetap, Tylenol Sinus, Advil sinus.......the list goes on

serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and

use a saline nasal spray and take a decongestant (unless you have high blood pressure) and a pain killer (such as ibuprofen or asprin). Drink hot tea (to thin the mucus) with honey (it's a natural antibiotic) and inhale the fumes deeply. Steep eucalyptus leaves with boiling water and inhale those fumes too (don't drink it). Eucalyptus helps to open the sinuses and the steam will help to thin the mucus.
