Yep, they make me cough! LOL
They do not cure a cough, but they help to lubricate the throat and quiet the cough. Those with menthol such as Halls help to open nasal passages to help you breathe better temporarily.

I only take cough drops to keep my throat from getting really dry if I'm sick.I won't touch halls, they make me gag. I only use Ricola

They don't help your spelling or grammar any, but they do sooth your throat.
