The human body is an amazing machine that can recover from many debilitating illnesses and diseases when given proper nutrition. You need to supply your body with plenty of vitamins from whole food sources, not synthetic vitamins - some of which have been proven to be extremely harmful, minerals (preferably of the chelated type - they're the most absorbable know to man, probiotics (good bacteria that are a large part of your immune system) and food enzymes (every function in your body is run by enzymes).

Take iron supplements. Taking the iron will help the red blood cells to not be so hypochromic. Iron is what causes the red blood cells to have there color, meaning if your body doesn't have enough iron, your red blood cells will be hypochromic. Make sure you see your doctor on a regular basis to see if whatever you decide to do to increase your blood and it's contents is effective. Good Luck!!!
