But it hardly ever comes up and i have trouble breathing? what can i take/eat/drink to get this out? or help it get out of my chest/lungs or wherever the garbage may be?

You should try an over the counter expectorant. Mucinex is a good one.

If you feel very bad and are really having trouble breathing, perhaps you should see a doctor. You don't want to develop walking pneumonia.

Take very deep breaths and cough.
Drink plenty of water to keep your linings moist to help deliver the mucus up and out.
When your nose runs get a tissue and blow DO NOT INHALE IT BACK IN YOUR LUNGS.
