I'm NOT a girly girl and dont like the color pink, so no pink ideas lol. I love roses though ( red ones <3) and if you can encorperatet that into your idea some how, that would be amazing. My invite list is between 20-30 people max

If you are only having a few kids, A video night party would be fun too.

You could set up your living room like a movie theater and not spend much to do it.

Rent a couple of movies that she would like to see.

Serve popcorn in buckets, a variety of candy and chocolates and soda to drink.

Later, Serve pizza and you could even set up a nacho bar.

Ice cream cake for dessert.

Create invitations that look like movie tickets.

To decorate, you can purchase movie posters usually pretty cheap from video stores ( some will even give them away)

Another Idea is

How about a party designed around on of your school activities?

If you play any sports, basketball for example. You could have a "basketball theme" You could make cardboard cutouts of some of your favorite players and rent a court to have the party at.

Since it is a birthday milestone..... Why not an "Over-The-Top" party? Have over sized decorations and wrap the gifts in huge boxes even for little gifts. Use lots of balloons. It could be a real fun party.

How about a "Roaring 20's" party? Ask everyone to come in costume and have different gambling games and set up a "prize bar" where the guests can exchange their winnings?

If your really into fashion... How about a "Fashion Victim" Party? Have everyone where clothing that they already own but would never wear in public because it is "unfashionable". You could give out a prize to the biggest victim.

How about a "Tacky Party" ? It is similar to the fashion victim, but have everyone wear taped glasses mismatched pants and shirts. Have them bring tacky gag gifts... Ans serve tacky food like cheese sandwiches, chocolate milk, and fig newtons in the shape of a cake. Play tacky games like musical chairs, bingo, go fish, spin the bottle, Simon says, and more

How about a "movie screening" party? You could rent a new release or a favorite oldie and serve popcorn. You could have a trivia game about movies. I had a friend move her TV to her backyard and set up blankets and lawn chairs and had her screening outside. She served hot dogs and nachos from machines she had rented.

If she is into music.... How about a "Grammy After Party"? You could rent a hall or even a canopy to put over your backyard. Have a red carpet and instruct everyone to dress up. Check in your local yellow pages under performers/impersonators and see if you can hire a couple to impersonate some famous singers. Ask a few of your daughter's friends parents to be "paparazzi" and take pictures of guests entering and leaving the party. Play all the latest music. And encourage people to dance. If you are computer savvy you could make "CD" invitations. Have the birthday girl make a recording of herself inviting people to come with all the details. You can buy Cd's very cheap from discount stores and sleeves to deliver then in too.

What's your favorite color? If it's blue why not have a blue party. Make all the decorations in your favorite color, cake, and invitations.

Hope these help. Good Luck on the party!!

I will assume that your 16th will include boys as so often they do. For my 16th I had a special 3 layer cake with a fountain inbetween layers. My mom made it and probably cost her $40 including the fountain. These days you can rent a fountain as well and they really are not that difficult to do. You can even incorporate you red roses in the cake decor. One thing that kids tend to remember the most is the food. Chocolate fountains, favorite foods like pizza made in different shapes for example are also neat. An area for a dance floor with popular music, different color light bulbs to change the mood of the room. Good luck.

Have an "American Idol" party and do Karaoke. You can paint freebie trial AOL cd's to look like records. Group them with lots of balloons and hang them from ribbons around the room. You could award a red rose to the winner (or each participant who is brave enough to sing for the panel of judges)! You could choose some of the guests to be Simon, Paula, and Randy. Other party guests could write down their votes and tally them before the winner is finalized! Your cake could be round and look like a CD on top. Use the American Idol design on it. Decorate it in sparkle sprinkles (cake decorating section of Wal Mart or any cake supply store). Then have a dance or at least some of your favorite music playing while the guests dance. Learn some old line dances. Play team charades using names of songs. Play "Name That Tune" by teams: List names of songs on slips of paper; hum the song you draw. Your team has 1 minute to ...name that tune! Team with the most points wins! All prizes could be your red roses again. Have a CD swap where everyone brings cd's they might want to trade for others. It could all go along with your musical theme of "American Idol". Just some thoughts that would be different and inexpensive!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWEET !6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You could go to a movie, ice skating, bowling, or have a party at your house. Do you remember when we were younger little kids where party hats? Well...at your sweet sixteen you could have everyone where roses in their hair, and you could make the bakery (where you are getting the cake) that is if you want...you could have them put a rose on it out of frosting. Whatever you decide to do I hope you have fun!

I'm going to be sixteen in may.

Personally,
i love small parties. Big ones are so overrated.
How about a small get together with your closest friends, and you can do something you all will enjoy. Like have a cupcake bar or a chocolate fondue or other forms of fondue.

When all else fails do what you like to do.

Go crazy cause u only turn 16 once. Decorate the area your party is gonna b at with a theme. Its gonna b by a poll so y not the Hawia theme. Anything u like. U should keep the theme for the cake and make it big. For food u can serve chips, dip, and soda. everybody loves Hip hop like Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and Soulja Boy. R&B like Chris Brown, Mario, and Rhianna.
