Bogus Advice here...lol.....I am not a Dr.....nor do I 'play' one on TV. The 1st question they will possibly ask you is about this 'mucus' Is it clear? Is it 'colored' ? If so..what color? Dark/ Light...etc. This tells them of a 'possible' infection. At best, I would strongly urge you to @ least call & speak to an Advice Nurse. They are very, Very good. With a Capital 'V'.....they know what questions to ask, & how to get u the help you need. Please call now..OK?

You need to go see a doctor soon. You probably need some antibiotics and medical attention. In the meantime drink plenty of fluids and eat chicken soup and have a hot steamy shower going (you do not have to take the hot bath just need the steam) to open up your sinus and cough up the mucus. If you bathe a regular bath or sponge bath is okay. (have someone else check the temp, because you can burn yourself if you are with fever and water doesnt feel hot enough.) Have someone thump on your backside of help you cough up the phlegm. If your phlegm (mucous) is any color except kind of colorless, you have an infection and need to see a doctor.

Don't put off seeing a doctor. It might not be serious but it would be safer to see a professional. I have lung problems myself and about 2 years ago, I almost waited too late. I wound up in the hospital for 16 days, so what's a couple of hours at the doctor's office.

Any respiratory infection is serious, you need to see a doctor and consider the possibility of seeking urgent care.

Pneumonia is characterized by a bacterial or viral pyogenic respiratory infection with lots of sputum [mucus] and decreased lung capacity. It can also include a fever and cannot be effectively treated without a sample and workup.

No home treatment. You may have the beginnings of pneumonia. Did the doctor put you on antibiotics? If not, then go back to him or find another doctor. You could start eating some soup, and drinking some vitamin C, like orange juice or Sunny Delight. Don't play with this....hope you feel better really soon.

Sounds like you have some type of infection in your lungs. Could be pnuemonia or bronchitis. Whatever it is you really do need to see a doctor. They can give you antibiotics to clear this up safely. Loosing the ability to breathe properly isn't something you want to mess around with.

Your fever is indicative of an infection. Get to the doctor.

Realistically there is nothing you can do from home. Your best bet is to just go to a doctor and get it over with.

There will be a ton of people giving you BS medical advice, beware.

You sound like you may have bronchitis or worse yet pneumonia. Go to urgent care or ER and get this checked out before it becomes worse.
