Yes, there are some. I am not one of them, because I haven't a single vegan friend. I used to, but she quit being vegan because she had problems. Her problems were not the veganism, but her own that she created for herself because she ate a bunch of junk food all the time, which she continues to do as a meat eater. So yes, there are some, but most aren't like that. I only disrespect meat eaters when they disrespect me or when I have an alternative motive that has nothing to do with being vegan or not.

Of course there are, just like there are meat eaters who disrespect vegetarians and vegans. You could say I'm bigoted as it really annoys me when people call themselves vegetarians but eat fish - often this means people try to feed me fish :)
Being a veg*an doesn't necessarily make you a better person

I'm not vegan (as way of disclaimer) but from what I've seen it's mainly the other way around. Oops, just saw that someone else said that (but it's not my only point anyway).
REAL vegans show a respect for all life that tends to obviate hatred to other life-forms including meat-eaters. That doesn't mean they want to be around them, especially when they're boiling lobsters, ripping flesh off ribs etc.
Mystic, those idiots weren't really vegans! That was the lowlife scumbags that go by names like Animal Liberation Front. Those vermin might claim to be vegan (just like the fish eating morons that claim to be vegetarian). A vegan would never commit a crime like that since it harms animals.

My family and my boyfriend eat meat, I don't love them any less for it and I don't sit there at meals judging them. I don't even think about it. They are all good people.
However, if I thought it was OK to eat meat I would be eating it too. To think something is right, you have to think something else is wrong.
As Matt H says, You can disagree with something that people do without judging them as a whole person for it.
Aren't there things you don't think people should do, for a bigger cause? Like not driving huge pollution-causing cars, not leaving electricity on all the time, whatever? You don't have to instantly disrespect a person the minute they do these things, but you still don't think it's right even when your mom or best friend does it.

As David said there is a difference between disrespect and hate.
I'll be honest, as a Vegan I have no respect for a persons choice
to eat meat. This does not mean I'm going to give them crap about it. Nor does it mean i think any less of the person. However, when it comes to their dietary choices, this is a part of their life I don't agree with. Just because I don't like that they eat meat doesn't mean I can't get along with them or be friends with them.

Yes. When my daughter wasin college the vegans would harass any meat eaters going thru the food line in the cafeteria. My daughter and a group of her friends did a counter attack telling them that the plants that they eat also have feelings and that their veges were fertilized with cow sh*t!

My mom and dad went to our local Walmart a couple years ago and the checkout girl refused to scan or even touch a chicken they had bought. She said she was a vegan, and didn't want anything to do with it. She continued to give them dirty looks and just stare at the chicken until they threatened to get a manager involved. She quickly scanned it, threw it in the bag and said there...have a nice day! They made a call to the manager when they got home, and he said he has recieved many calls about her disrespecting other customers...needless to say she wasn't employed there long!
Now I believe people have a right to believe and do what they want, but if you are that much against it, then why get a job that requires you to be near it. Besides, if I respect you and your choices, then you should give me equal respect, and let me to choose what I want to do.

Vegans, for the most part, are mentally disturbed. They actually feel that humans should be treated as some sort of alien species that has no place on planet earth. They would, and do, place the life of a common mouse ahead of a human and will defend their decision with pages and pages of diatribe pulcked right out of the PETA handbook, (the new Mein Kampf of the socialist movement). They lend themselves to much joking due to their bizzare behavior but have absolutely NO sense of humor left in their being. It has been my experience that vegans are the single most hate-filled, intolerant group of people I have ever encountered.
Sad.

A group of vegans were accused of burning down a small mink farm in memphis in the nineties. (Sadly killing alot of animals). I have a lot of vegan friends and they are very determined about educating others on the vegan lifestyle but they aren't jerks about it.
