I'm assuming that since you asked you must want to do something memorable. It also appears like you don't care if it's finger foods or ones that require a utensil. So that in mind, here are some ideas that have brought major kudos for me.
Ther are always the diet concious people in the group, Angel cake made in a swirl design bundt pan topped with low fat or no fat whipped cream and drizzled with mixed berries makes dessert number one the anyone can eat, even the diabetics.

Another recipie is just plain white sheet cake cooked regularly. After it's cooled completely, cut it in 2 inch squares and frost all four sides with a vanilla buttercream frost, then roll in chopped peanuts. It's fantastic. You can also do it with choc. cake covered in choc frost and rolled in nuts for those chocoholics.

Brownie surpise is another great recipie. You'll need a choc. brownie mix and blonde brownie mix. Prepare each seperately and what I like to do is embelish my mixes by adding butterscotch chips to the blonde mix and I use applesauce in stead of the oil because I think it's moister. Then in a seperate pan place the uncut sheet of blonde brownies and cover the top of it with carmel bits or heath bar bits. Give it a good helping. Then place the choc brownie sheet over the blonde and bake at low heat to give the bits a chance to melt and blend. Once cooled cut in squares and drizzle caramel or choc sauce over the top and serve. It'r really good with a scoop of icecream.

I hope this helps you. Good luck.

any dessert that is single serve size is best. Cheese cake sqaures, brownie bites, fruit tarts, just aboiut anything that is easy for people to serve to themselves. Do you have a Costco or Sam's Club close? Thats a really inexpensive way to get your deserts and plus they can even make desert trays. At Costco I know you can buy very large cheesecakes for 12.99 and large pies for the same.
