If it's going to be a "Mad Hatter's" party don't forget the hats. The birthdays girls could have white top hats decorated with ribbons and tulle in their favorite colors. Put together some bowlers with just a wide satin sash (nothing flowy) for the boys. Look for other inexpensive hats you can decorate for the ocassion and then let the kids keep them as party favors.

Well, have the Tea Party at 4:00 in the afternoon. Send out Victorian invitations to the Tea Party. Set the table with fine linens, lacy or embroidered napkins, silver trays, pedestal plates with scones and little cakes, cucumber sandwiches on white bread with butter, watercress sandwiches on white bread with butter. Also, serve several flavors of tea with accompanying honey, sugar cubes, lemon wedges, or cream. Have the antique cups and saucers from garage sales, dollar stores, or second hand stores. Have a vase with beautiful flowers and small framed pictures of the girls, used as the place cards. Print up a menu on shiny paper and frame it and set it on the table. Go to the local Goodwill stores or second hand stores and pick up some old hats, scarfs, boas, handbags, shoes, old stockings, fabric flowers for the hair, and old style dresses or slips, old costume jewelry and glasses without the lenses. Long gloves and corsets are fun also. If you don't have time or if this is cost prohibitive have the girls show up in their own costumes. In any event have them dress before partaking in the Tea Party and after the party have the girls vote for best dressed and present her with a gift. Have them read romantic poetry out loud one by one as entertainment, and play classical music. Afterwords, old romantic movies with lots of Kleenex, and an informal spaghetti dinner or pizza if it's a sleep over. In the morning serve them french toast with fruit sauce and hot chocolate and orange juice. Enjoy! Your daugthers will always remember the attention to detail of this super party. Mine is 30 and she still remembers.

Pink lemonade served in martini glasses with pink sugar rim and a maraschino cherry, individual place cards at a long table, think silly decorations. Buy some feather boa's, over sized silly hats and scarves for dress-up. I would choose a color scheme that they will both enjoy and build on that. Ina Garten did a similar party for some younger girls that was very cute. Check out the food network.

Hey, it is YOUR big day so you can do whatever you want :D I wouldn't have my own wedding like that, but I think themed weddings are a blast and admire people who have the guts to do them! Just remember that those are the pictures and stories you will have the rest of your life : ) if that sounds swell, then go for it!
