I assume when you say 'autonomic loss of sensation' that you refer to altered bowel & bladder function? Or do you mean dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system (which controls blood pressure, etc.)?

Either way, this would be a neurology issue, which CAN be related to pre-existing diabetes. Diabetes wreaks havoc on the nerves, namely peripheral nervous system.

And yes, diabetes can interfere with sensation. If you're diabetic, it's important to monitor changes in sensation (diabetic neuropathy), kidney function, etc.

Sensation of temperature/bp fluctuating is one of the signs of a disturbance in blood sugar levels. Hypoglycaemia often presents in its early stages with altered mental status, 'dizziness', 'loss of balance', feeling cold. Hyperglycaemia also has its presentations, including temperature and mental status changes.

Uncontrolled diabetes is a risk factor for stroke/heart attack.

Wasn't sure EXACTLY what the question was, but hope this helps.

If I have a baby boy, I will NOT let doctors mutilate him. End of story. Not to bash mothers who had their boys circumcised, but personally I wouldn't want my baby circumcised. I just don't see why. For that I'd have them circ the girl too.
