Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted disease which is spread from penis to vagina intercourse or vulva to vulva contact with an infected partner. It is mostly passed sexually, but can also be picked up from damp or moist towels, wet clothing, or a toilet seat if the genitals get in contact with these items. You can read more about it here
