this is not undesirable for the gadget yet you may want to favor to consider those factors (albeit some might want to be a tad esoteric): warm water from the tap might want to include undesirable detritus (or a minimum of, be filtered by same detritus) out of your water heater, this may impact flavor. warm water holds a lot less oxygen than chilly which also impacts flavor. the fewer warm the water getting in, the further effective the flavour. considering your espresso maker already has the elements to warmth the water, why might want to you try this besides? The espresso maker will honestly get the water hotter than something coming from the tap (till you've your thermostat set at an hazardous temperature!)

It's gotta be Cuisinart. I have the "retro" model that normally sells for about 99 dollars. Have had it for almost 3 years and it is still doing fine. It has an internal (replaceable) filter and a special cleaning cycle. I live in a hard water area and my coffee makers have usually lasted less than a year!!

Krups it a great one but I just got a Keurig and it's awesome - it makes a cup at a time with these little pods and you can buy a filter to still brew your own coffe if you don't want to buy the coffee pods. It also lets you brew tea and make hot chocolate too :)

Without a doubt...the Bunn. A full pot takes 3 minutes to brew. It's great if you're in a hurry in the morning!
