Yes it can - an infection in your gum or tooth can cause a condition called myocarditis- which means an infection in the blood in your heart and muscles-- it is very, very, serious and usually people with valvular heart disease- like mitral valve prolapse are susceptible to such infections and must take prophylactic antibiotics before any dental or other small surgical procedures--- if you are feeling any and I mean ANY signs or symptoms of a heart attack - call 911 and go by ambulance to the ER NOW--- waiting can mean we won't be Im'g you tomorrow so dont wait!!!

Long hair, sound teeth are signs of good health and that is why during army selection they check if you have all your teeth in most healthy condition. Therefore in this context when you have unhealth tooth / gum then it means that some where you health is not alright and it could be even your heart but for this there is no other link to teeth and a heart attactk. Hope this answers your question . All the best.

No it does not cause heart attack. It MAY however cause some other heart problem.

Bacteria gain entry via the tooth, travel in blood stream, and deposit in the heart. If the heart is already problematic, bacteria will cling to the affected part more readily causing infection of the heart. This however is not HEART ATTACK.

only if u have an underlying rheumatic heart disease. Its common in India but rarely seen in European countries. If u have an infected tooth / gum which need extraction, the dentist will do it under cover of antibiotics. Any infection tracking from the mouth into the blood can produce sub acute endocarditis
