It was once mentioned on Oprah, but just in passing and I needed to know if it's accurate. Apparently a man cant get easily infected by a woman as he can infect her.

Yes, it's easier for a man to infect a woman. This is due to the possibility that a man's semen can get into the woman's bloodstream because of vaginal tearing. The vagina is more likely to tear (even minutely) than a penis and allow an opening into the woman's bloodstream. This isn't to say that a man can't have tearing and can't get the disease from a woman.

This is why gay men who receive anal sex are more likely to get the disease than those who don't.

It is much harder for a male to get infected my a woman than it is for a woman to get infected by a man. It is true.

I think you are wrong. There are a lot of variables to consider, but I believe that either can be infected if the circumstances are right.
