I've already taken a full course of Zithromax. I was feeling almost back to normal for two days and then sick again. Now I am starting to get pains in my lungs but I don't feel the same way the first time I was sick. I also feel more winded and really grouchy. I heard that bronchitis can turn into pnemonia, but am not sure. Should I wait to see what happens or should I seek care?

i may say Pneumonitis is a better word, as you need to have some changes in your chest x-ray (as we call it " consolidation") to say it is "Pneumonia".
yes, it can be so. the cause of your bronchitis can lead to the inflammation of your lung tissue while it seems to be totally over.
if you have fever, heavy breathing, FEELING your heart beats more than before, or feeling not the same as always, you better see your doctor.

I once suffered from Chronic Bronchitis. I would suffer sometimes 3 to 4 times per year! Usually when there was a major change in the pressure outside (I live in the north, and the temperature spikes and dips do wonders to chronic sufferers of bronchitis!). Each time I would get horrible hacking coughs, hoarking up green phlegm..it was so frustrating!

The key to getting rid of your bronchitis is to find a way to completely eliminate the germs that are causing all the phlegm and irritation leading to your hoarking cough and heavy breathing. Keep reading to learn how to do kill these germs!!

Yes it can. I had bronchitis that turned into pneumonia and I had to be hospitalized. I waited for 2 weeks thinking that I would get better because I took antibiotics for the bronchitis. It was a big mistake. See a doctor ASAP.

Ha thats funny cuz I just went to the doctor wednesday, he told me I have bronchitis and I went back today and it turned into pneumonia. Zithromax is the least strong medicine of all those respitory meds... They put me on Avelox...I know Levaquin is really good too. I got into a car accident and 3 days later my chest hurt real bad and I couldnt stop coughing...turns out the seatbelt crushed my chest and I developed pneumonia. They gave me all kinds of breathing treatments to stop my lungs from collapsing so be careful and get it checked out asap
