Bronchitis is caused by a virus in 90% of cases,so no, you don't need an antibiotic. Infections run their course in 7-10 days, so just increase your fluids, get rest, and take some Vitamin C. The overuse of antibiotics is the cause of drug resistant bugs, so when a patient really needs them, they are useless.
