The HIV virus is present in breast milk, so it is possible theoretically, but as of last year when I took a HIV/AIDS training, there had been NO cases of it happening. A mother who is breast feeding would have most likely infected in the child prior or during birth already.

yap it sure is. the HIV particles are small enough and are present in breast milk. but if you look at the point of view from a new born baby from a mother who was already HIV positive, then the baby already has HIV due to placental blood...unless you're talking about drinking breast milk yourself....

Infection with HIV occurs by the transfer of blood, semen, vaginal fluid, pre-ejaculate or breast milk. Within these body fluids HIV is present as both free virus particles and virus within infected immune cells.

Transmission of HIV requires contact with body fluids—specifically blood, semen, vaginal secretions, breast milk, saliva, or exudates from wounds or skin and mucosal lesions—that contain free virions or infected cells. (Merck)
The three major routes of transmission are unprotected sexual intercourse, contaminated needles and transmission from an infected mother to her baby at birth or through breast milk. (Wikipedia)

Yes, the chance is not as high as sexual intercourse but there is a chance =). The chance increases if formula feeding is mixed with breast feeding, as the formula feeding milk may irritate the baby's stomache lining.
