I like both, but I'd have to say I love Thai. Chinese is much easier to get ahold of though. For Chinese I tend to like the fried things, like wontons and egg rolls...bad for me! =) And I don't have a clue how to even begin to make those dishes.

Depending on where you live, it can be very hard to get ahold of the right ingredients you need to make Thai food (which I am finding out!). I just made a red curry chicken with fresh basil leaves last night- instead of the jasmine rice or sticky rice, I used thin rice sticks, soaked until softened. SO GOOD!! Just the right amount of spicy and the coolness of the coconut milk calmed it right down. My 5 year old even loved it, and that's saying a lot, such a picky eater! I also made a pad thai- chicken, bean sprouts, egg, peanuts with a brown sauce that was served over rice noodles. That was really good too!

As for desserts, Thai again! We made a sweet sticky rice with thinly sliced bananas, (sticky rice cooked with coconut milk, a little bit of sugar) wrapped up in a banana leaf, then steamed again. You let it sit in the frige for awhile and the next day it is so sweet and yummy. Oh so good!

You can find some good recipes online- www.atasteofthai.com and other websites as well. Just look up "sticky rice" or whatever you want to make, and lots of sites pop up with great recipes!

PS- if you ilke spicy, you should try out some Korean dishes- bi bim bap is delicious and you can add as much spice as you like. It's veggies, beef, and rice with a spicy sauce. Yummmmmm

I like both but growing in Chinese family, I do get sick of Chinese food, especially when dining out. But I can't help it that I love Yum Cha.

I love Thai food because I like strong flavours (therefore I like Indians too) and I love very hot & spicy foods. My favourite is Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Chilli Basil Chicken, and of course... Thai Beef Salad!

I like both , however I do prffer Burmese style food which is a lot like Thai but not as rich and has not as much coconut, so it is less fattening and low in bad cholesterol :)
