I have been in a steady sexual relationship for two and a half years, so I'm not a high risk person for herpes, but I've been worried about these things for a while now.

In early december I noticed a burning sensation in my penis that comes and goes. On close inspection, all I could see were white bumps along the bottom that have a hair coming out of them, and dont look a thing like herpes, not to mention they havent changed shape, color, or anything like that in the entire time I have noticed them. Also they dont hurt to touch.

The burning is my only symptom, I dont have swollen lymph nodes in the groin, I have no open sores, no pain, just a burning that comes and goes.

Could I be missing something here? Can you have burning and no open sores? And wouldnt I have had some kind of visible herpe activity at this point? It has been oven a month now, and I have nothing to see.
Although it does go away sometimes, and might be brought out by sex.
Any help would be REALLY great.

This sounds more like HPV

It could just be nothing to worry about, maybe just irritants from an outside source.

Definately get it checked out though. The best time would of course go when you are having the symptoms. Also ask for a full panel blood test to test for all std's most docs won't do that unless you specifically request, they just do the cheaper pee tests.

If it is HPV, don't be turned off by the fect that you don't have warts, there are hundreds of different types of HPV and only a few of those cause warts.

I have HPV and I have never had a wart, what I did have were tiny lesions that became irritated similar to what you are describing.

YOu said white bumps, is that on your penis? or inside? If inside, there is definately something. The white ones, if those are the ones with regular pubic hair growing from them, those are normal.

If it burns when you pee it could also be gonnorreah or chlymadia (spelling on both, I know)

If thats the case your gf should have had symptoms too, but not always the case.

I got diagnosed with herpes simplex virus (type 2) about 4 years ago, when I was still in college and had a stupid one-night stand. I understand lots of people say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and all of a sudden it seemed like I was going to have to live with the implications for my entire life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date other men again. After all, who wants to go out with someone who has sores around her private parts? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/I946W everything improved.

Not only was I able to remove all traces of the hsv from my system in less than three weeks, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just last week, in front of everyone in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!!! This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love again. Now I hope that I can help others by sharing this story.

From the sounds of it...I don't think it is herpes. Herpes outbreaks only last a few days...they start out like red sores then they like break open and hurt and they itch. Do you shave down there? It could be shave bumps that could kind of be brought on by the friction sex brings on. As for the burning...I really don't know about that. I'd call a dr or call Planned Parenthood or something like that...they can help you and won't ever need to know who you are.

You may have genital warts (human papilloma virus). See a urologist.

Please conduct Urinalysis and Urine culture. Microscopic examination of the exudate will reveal the exact infection.
Please the web pages for more details on STDs.
