Kuromame can mean one of Osechi-Ryori, a traditional Japanese meal for New Year's day. To answer your question, I can say it is served with other Osechi-Ryori.
This site explains more about Osechi-Ryori as well as recipes of Kuromame.

KUROMAME means black beans. By this word, itself, does not explain how it is cooked.

(so it is impossible to tell you what to serve it with)

Update your question with how you are preparing it, and maybe I can help.
