Depends on how much time you have. If a person's condition keeps them from working more than about 18(?) hours per week, they can apply for disability at the local Social Security Office and then Medicaid will always come along with it, which means government funded insurance for you that will likely cover the operation you need. It can take up to a few months to get through the application process, or whatever, and a doctor would have to agree that you're disabled, and you'd have to show that your disability has kept you from working more than a certain number of hours per week.

I don't know where you live, but some counties and states have their own insurance coverage offerings for people of low-income and you'd have to inquire about that. Also, some hospitals have programs for people with low income and no insurance where the hospital bills are sometimes reduced dramatically. So you'd want to contact someone at the prospective hospitals. Although, the professional fees would still attach, but sometimes these can be negotiated as well.

Do you not have family/friends who can help?

I would get a job with health benefits so I could save up the money to get the operation and hopefully my health benefits would cover some of the expenses.

Sorry wouldn't donate my liver, people only have one of them and I really do need it to live. So if I donated it, I wouldn't have to worry about the operation since I would be dead.

Check with the local health department to see if there are any programs in place that can help you. I live in California and there is a program called MISP for someone in your situation that covers medical expenses with very minimal out of pocket.
