I missed school all this week and the doctor said maybe I can go tomorrow, but im not sure. I had a temp. of 102.5 yesterday and it currently is 97.8. My cough is still pretty bad, and my athsma is really bad. I think i have it b ad because i had to take medecince right after the nurse took my temp. My doctor put me on Prednisone and Azithromycin.I also have to take my inhaler twice and my nebulizer like 3-4 times a day. I think i am really bad, because he said if i dont get better in 3 days i might have to go to the hospital. I dont have to much of a sore throat anymore, or a fever. But am i still very sick? and should i go to school tomorow?

You are most likely having an acute exacerbation of bronchial asthma, the exacerbation being probably because of a upper/lower respiratory tract infection. If the doctor has started you on oral steroids (Prednisone) and 3-4 times nebulisers, I would think your asthma must be pretty bad. Even though you dont have a fever/sorethroat, I would still recommend rest at home until your asthma is brought under adequate and optimal control. And if you continue to have symptoms that fail to improve it is wise to get to the hospital sooner than later. Get well soon!

Bronchitis can also be cause by a nasal drip. Which turns into Pneumonia. I was hospitalised for a week, because I was battling to breath, so was put on a drip, and also had the nebulizer 3 times a day. DO NOT go to school if your chest is still bad, and wait until you feel better and your chest clearer. Its not something to play around with, especially as you are obviously still very young. Take care.

Pneumonia is a general term that refers to an infection of the lungs, which can be caused by a variety of microorganisms, including viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites.

The viruses and bacteria that cause pneumonia are contagious and are usually found in fluid from the mouth or nose of an infected person. Illness can spread when an infected person coughs or sneezes on a person, by sharing drinking glasses and eating utensils, and when a person touches the used tissues or handkerchiefs of an infected person.

So it's probably best to stay home.

If you have pneumonia, then stay home. Unless you like hospitals. I've had it. It's not pleasant. Your doctor is giving you the chance to do things right so you won't have to go to the hospital. Hospitals come with HUGE bills as well. I hope you have good health insurance if you end up there. It's a serious sickness, not a joke.

You can have pneumonia for a very long time. Unless your fever is gone for 24 hours do not return to school. If you are requiring your asthma medications more often then usual maybe your mother needs to take you back to the dr or to another dr for a re-evaluation. Some pneumonias are bacterial and need to be treated with IV anti biotics. Sometimes being on steriods makes it harder for the body to heal.

it incredibly is contagious for every physique. Pneumonia is composed of viruses which as all of us understand may be transmitted by skill of an contaminated person coughing or sneezing on someone, sharing ingesting glasses and utensils, and/or whilst someone touches used tissues of an contaminated person.

probably at this point, you shouldn't be considering going tomorrow under any circumstances. even if you wake up w/o a fever you need some rest and recovery time.
i would aim for a monday return.
