I know many people who are allergic to wheat. Is there any sort of substitute for wheat flour that both tastes the same and is easily obtainable?

You can't substitute 1:1 with any other flours since you'll need to balance the gluten missing from those - without that, baked goods tend to fall apart. Since many people are sensitive to gluten, you need to look into products or recipes labelled 'gluten-free'. These will all be wheat-free as well. Try your local health-food store for products and cookbooks.

Yes! Brown or white rice flour and potato flour are good alternatives. You might have to adjust cooking times though, it doesn't always rise the same way.
You can buy them at bulk food stores, in the healthy section of your supermarket and at health food stores.
