swelling makes the tubes smaller the smaller a tube the more pressure.
damage caused by injury or smoking will make getting the air in or out harder.
inhaled gases or chemicals along with germs such as the ones that cause lung infections
another is over-demand a runner or anyone that is doing some very hard work will breath faster. and need to get the new air in faster and the old out.
if we overexert ourselves this can make the system increase pressure to compensate for the lack of o2 saturation
