Do you have a hiatus hernia and if so do you find it causes you to cough and get very breathless.?

And if so is there anything that relieves this for you. I have an hiatus hernia and being overweight causes problems

I've had one for a few years - mine is stress induced, but doesn't cause me any of the problems you describe. My weight has also fluctuated over the last few years and it was no better or worse at any specific weight, stress is always the factor. My doctor prescribes Nexium and it works really well for me. If I take it as soon as I get the vaguest symptoms, it stops it flaring up.
