Crabs or Pubic Lice

The name of this particular lice is Phthirus pubis, round, pinhead-size bugs that look like crabs. If you look hard enough, you can actually see them. They live in pubic hair, chest hair, armpit hair, and even eyelashes and eyebrows. You generally get crabs by having pubic-hair-to-pubic-hair contact with someone else who has them. But you can also get them from sleeping on infested bedding, using towels, or borrowing clothing from someone who has them (like a roommate). Crabs are also bloodsuckers, and the main health danger to you is that they can give you other diseases such as typhus. You can't have crabs and not know it: You'll have an intolerable itching in the infested area, and you can see the crabs yourself without a microscope. Unfortunately, scratching the itch makes it worse and can transfer the lice to other parts of your body.

Try this site. If you do have crabs, relax, and just do what you need to do to get rid of them. Make sure you wash all your bedding and towels and use the hottest settings on the washer and dryer. To kill them, there are several products you can buy at the grocery store, pharmacy, or even Wal-Mart. Look in the shampoo section, the stuff will be labeled for head lice. Same critter, basically, and the same stuff will kill it. If you feel embarrassed buying it, just say your kid got lice at school. It's common enough.

You should also warn your three girlfriends.

An examination of the external genital region infested with pubic lice can show small gray-white oval eggs (nits) attached to the hair shaft and may reveal adult lice.

Adult pubic lice can be easily identified under the microscope, but they can be difficult to see with the naked eye because of their location and appearance. Gray-white pubic lice blend in with white skin, and brown lice can be mistaken for moles and are hard to see on black skin.Normally, an infestation of pubic lice does not require professional treatment. Pubic lice can be treated with over-the-counter medicated shampoos used to treat head lice.Following the shampooing, comb the pubic hair with a fine-tooth comb to remove nits. Applying vinegar to the pubic hair may help loosen the eggs, but the hair should be dry before applying the shampoo.Because pubic lice can live in bedding and clothing, these items must be treated to stop the infestation. Wash all clothing and linens in hot water, then put them in the hot cycle of the dryer for at least 20 minutes. Items that can't be washed can be sealed in airtight plastic bags for 10 to 14 days before reuse

If you have access to a black light you can use that on your pubic area. Crabs will show up as lots of little white specks in your pubic hair. My girlfriend saw hers when she went to a tanning bed.

Teeny tiny dark spots in your underwear or on your toilet seat that move. If you have them, go get some kwellada. They will be gone in just a few hours if you use it properly.

I don't know what they look like but this is the treatment: Shave 1/2 your pubic hair. Saturate the other side with lighter fluid and light. They will run to the other side where you will be able to see and stab them with a knife

like small flat, skin colored bugs. Try shaving bald in that region and on your upper thighs to get them off, then dont mess around with whom ever gave them to you again.
