It depends on where you live and the laws there. In TX there is a list of those infected with HIV however, it is highly confidential due to strict laws on that information. They get this information from clinics testing for the virus. The information is used to help create programs to better help those living with HIV. Confidentiality is so highly protected that if you tell someone else about a person's HIV status, you can be punished. I worked with such a list so I know it exists.

No. There is no list of who is infected, and you can't tell by looking at someone whether they have HIV or not. All the more reason to always practice SAFE sex!

Absolutely not! There is no list, but if you were tested by anyone other than an HIV clinic, there IS a record of your status, but no, there is no list with all our names on it. (yeah, I have hiv for 14 years)

No, it wouldn't be right for the people who has aids. If someone has aids, and everyone knows, they might not be friends with that person.
