Usually there is pain associated with a heart attack. Usually it is a dull ache type of pain beginning in the chest and radiating outward into an arm, the neck, the stomach or some other area. Sharp pains are usually not a heart attack, altho if a sharp pain continues, see a doctor. Remember the symptoms can be very different between men and women. Many women go un-diagnosed because doctors don't recognize the symptoms that appear in a woman.

It is said that there is NO such thing as a "sudden" heart attack and the person having one has had heart attack symptoms before and ignored them. I do believe that some people have no pain with a mild heart attack or else they ignore the symptoms.

Stay in tune with your body, listed to it and it will talk to you. Good luck. Pops

Well, most heart attacks are associated with pain, usually, but not always in the chest, though some heart attacks do not cause pain, and in fact some have no symptoms at all.
