If you think it's going to cure diabetes, then no. If you are a type 1 then you'd better dose yourself correctly with insulin. Make sure you know how many carbs are in cantaloupe before you eat it, regardless of if you are a type 1 or 2.

Hi, I found the following site from Diabetes Australia really helpful. They advise that fruit is good including melons, apples, oranges and bananas but advised it is better to eat the fruit rather than have it as a juice. http://www.diabetesaustralia.com.au/_lib/doc_pdf/resources/FactSheets/FoodChoices_FS.pdf

it's ok. Cantaloupe does not have many carbs in it. Very few, so it's ok.
