It wont be for a few months but I want to get some ideas. I like to dance. I have a pretty big basement with a pool table and furnature. I love to dress up so a Red Carpet party would be fun, but what does that include. What kind of food should I serve?
I can have more people if I have it at home than if we go out somewhere.

If you want it fancy serve things like cream puffs dipped in chocolate with instant pudding for the filling (Mix chocolate pudding with whipped cream.) Put a little whipped cream on top and place a fresh strawberry on top. Stay away from foods that have a lot of sauce...especially if you are going to dress up...messy. A nice rib roast would be good served with oven roasted baby red potatoes (Steam the potatoes first for about 15 minutes) brush with olive oil and sprinkle with rosemary, thyme, fresh garlic and salt & pepper. A nice salad or some kind of vegetable dish...green beans with chopped bacon and fire-roasted red pepper is good.

I would have finger food. Cheese and Crackers, Homemade Meatballs and weenies, veggie tray. Or you could have subs and chips. If all else fails order Pizza, or make your own.

veggies, cube bread, sliced meat in a fondue style ( very fancy ) w / cheese, for more simple ideas...
fruit, brownie bites with chocolate dip
make your own taco: w/ meats, veggies, hard/ soft taco shells, sour cream/ salsa in cute bowls.
make your own cocktails: types of fruit juice, sprite, orange juice, pineapple juice, soda water, limes slices, w/ alchohol removed of course :) in cute glasses.
