Apple and tomato may have different amounts of calories but these produce are really beneficial. When someone said an apple a day, was really not kidding. The fiber in apple is useful for weight loss as well as a colon cleanser and tomatoes are full of lycopienes. I wish that I could eat apples everyday but I cannot make myself. Whenever I order food at the local Persian fast food, I order a whole skewer of grilled tomatoes.

Are you talking about juices? Tomato has far less sugar and is better for your insulin levels. Apple causes an insulin spike, then a "crash", making you want to eat again.
As for fresh fruits (tomatoes are technically a fruit), both are great - low calorie, tons of antioxidants, fiber, nutrients, etc.
Fresh fruits and veggies are always far better than juices, which tend to be refined and/or have sugar added to improve the taste. You also tend to take in far more calories with juice. An 8 oz glass of orange juice is equal to eating four fresh oranges. Eat fresh.

Tomatoes are better for you on the whole. Apples have their nutrients in the colored skin, tomatoes have it all throughout.
