I did chicken nuggets and french fries for my girls at that age....
easy for them to hold and they really love 'em! Not real nutritious, but it's okay to splurge for a birthday party!
For sweet treats, birthday cupcakes or frosted cookies would be great, too.
Enjoy!

dude, 60 degrees is wonderful weather :) I need to know: Food? candy, chips, dip, pizza, cokes, water bottles, (things to roast over the bon fire i.e. hotdogs, marshmallows) Things to do? door prizes for most awesome dancer (gives the motivation for actually dancing) Things to rent? MOONBOUNCE. I'm almost 17, and I swear to god, all of my friends still love these things. Cost of most things? Shop smart. Don't go for brand names. Kids don't mind. Promise ;D Decorations? If you have a dollar store near you, that's usually a great place to get balloons and other party decorations. You can also get paper plates and such as well! Make sure you check this out first :D

For a princess party, maybe some little 'tea' sandwhiches. Just PBandJ but use a cookie cutter to make cute little shapes out of them.
Sugar Cookies: make them large and let the kids decorate them

I have 3 boys and though I am fortunate to have all outside parties. I have always done pizza or hot dogs (depending on their age) Then I serve ice cream cone cakes and ice cream cones. (one in each hand!) No silverware and not too bad of a cleanup.

Anything soft that they can pick up in their hands and eat by themselves.
Try mini croissants, little pancakes, mini hot dogs, litle squares of cheese, mini crackers, strawberries, wedges of fruit etc.
If you have puff pastry available, defrost it, roll it out to a lge square, top with bottled pasta sauce, and cut out fun shapes with cookie cutters. Bake in oven according to directions on pastry packet.
Have fun!!

Keep it real simple, with tiny finger food. Two year olds don't eat much, and they'll probably be too excited to really eat any real quantity anyway.
