I can't take decongestants either. I've been using a Hydro Pulse for over two years now. This system gently washes the gunk from your sinuses with saline. You do it once or twice a day and it takes about 3 minutes after you get the routine down. Also really helps when you have a cold and congestion.

If you cannot take a decongestant (I'm assuming for medical reasons such as high blood pressure), there really isn't much more that you can do, unfortunately. The only other thing would be saline nasal sprays or steam. Sorry.

I can't remember the name, but Alergan makes it. Chain pharmacies sell it..its a tiny reservoir you pour hot water into and add saline packets to to stick up your nostrils and inhale the steam. People swear it cleans out their sinuses, especially for those with allergies. Call the pharmacist to ask the name, sounds silly but true.

If you have sinus trouble (like me) I could only get a persciption from my doctor that would work. It is usually some kind of antibiotic. Along with some nasal sprays.
