I am a stay at home mom who is going back to work. I'll have to have the kids at school and me at work by 8 in the morning, and I am NOT a morning person. I would love to have something healthy that could be eaten in the car. Any ideas?

My daughter (11) loves the "Milk & Cereal Bars" and also some of the other cereal bars (without the "milk"). They aren't ideal, but I don't think they're any worse than a bowl of cereal.

Also, there's a lot of frozen breakfast items (french toast sticks, waffles, etc), many of which can be eaten on the go. Get choc. chip waffles and the kids won't care if they don't have syrup to dip 'em in. If you want them to be truly healthy, make 'em yourself (good weekend endeavor) and freeze them for the following week. Then you could use whole-grain flour, real fruit, etc. instead of all the "enriched" or imitation crap in the storebought varieties.

Or, if you have a little more time (or time the night before) you could do breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches (on toast or english muffins), etc. They could be made the night before and just "nuked" in the morning.

I'm a competitive swimmer and am EXTREMELY busy!! The new Slim fast Shakes are great and taste good. I personally like bananna, granola bar (the crunchy style, peanut butter flavored are the best choice), and even though it's a little bit of work, yougurt. Any fruit that you like is a great choice. Get creative with the food you usually eat. Try buying a box of healthy cereal (total, special K, frosted mini wheats). Get a bunch of sandwich bags are fill them with the portions you want. Empty the whole box into the bags and then place the filled bags back in the box. Grab one out of the cereal box as you head out the door.

Protein bars, bagels. If you can eat at your desk try some fruit and yogurt. But you could do fruit in the car. You could try tortilla roll ups with eggs or whatever you prefer.

Or maybe just try to get up 20 minutes earlier than the kids and have a bowl of oatmeal, it'll tie you over until lunch.

Breakfast: oatmeal, frozen waffles or pancakes, poptarts or toaster strudels. Lunch: bagels with cream cheese (yummy, i used to convey this at all times, especially bagels from panera!), you can make pita sandwiches or tortilla wraps instead of sandwiches, tuna on toast is normally good, also these little tuna and cracker lunches you can buy, you could % sizzling soup in a thermos with crackers or bread to head with it. Veggies with some ranch are constantly a excellent aspect. You could constantly percent salad in a baggie and a few dressing individually to make a salad! Just right success, hope this helped!

I have a magic bullet mixer. In the morning throw in some frozen fruit, premade juice, & yogurt. Blend & go. It has cups that you mix your drink in w/ lids. Pretty easy. Have some package trail mix ready to grab & your set.

Eating in the car is detrimental to your health as well as your kids and others on the road. People who eat in cars cause accidents.

Sandwich wrap with pita bread prepared the night before and wrapped in celophane for freshness and stored in the refrigerator overnight.
