You need to ask your doctor this, not us. You also need to have your digoxin levels checked by a blood test.
You should be taking what the doctor told you to;

It sounds that your dosage is a DIY affair as you are taking 1 OR 2 daily. How you decide this?
Digoxin is such an important cardiac drug that you CANNOT adjust it loosely yourself and ,as an example,its sideeffects from overdose can be as bad as the heart condition it is supposed to treat.
Leave the dosage adjustments to the expert cardiologist after he will do a blood level of digoxin. Once this is established DO NOT
self alter it as you may get in a situation where you will not be here to tell us "i did this".
See your cardiologist at once.

I take the same dosage for Congestive Heart Failure and am at 1 per day. Please see a Doctor to discuss how you feel, possible side effects you may experience and any questions you have. Honestly, your heart is nothing to fool around with and if you're feeling "not quite right" there's probably a reason. It could be a simple change in meds or some added medication. The best thing to do is asked a qualified Dr.

I have an irregular heartbeat. I have had open heart surgery for it. I cannot stress how important that you talk to your cardiologist about this. He may even send you to an electrophysiologist. Don't take anyone else's advice. It seems like you are on a low dose but I am not a doctor. Atrilfibulation can be a minor problem or something more. Don't let anyone else guess. Good luck and good health.

In my opinion since you have not given any history of Pedal Edema, digoxin is given to patients with CCF Chronic Heart Failure i.e weak myocardium. I think, if you are having shortness of breath, & scanty micturation. You Might be underdosed/overdosed is secondary which need to assessed by blood level of digoxin and physical status.
Don't go to a GP, report immediately to Cardiologist or cardiac ER near you.

I HAVE BEEN TAKING LANOXIN (DIGOXIN)FOR 21 YEARS
0.25 MG ONE DAY AND TWO THE NEXT, I ALTERNATE...........I GET MY DIGOXIN LEVELS TESTED
EVERY 6 MONTHS...............THERE ARE NOW OTHER MEDS THAT WORK FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT SINCE THIS WORKS WELL FOR ME, I STAY ON IT...........YOU MUST HAVE A BLOOD TEST FOR LEVELS...........SOME PEOPLE CAN BE TOXIC ON ONLY 2 - 0.25 MGS. EVERY ONE HAS A DIFFERENT TOLERANCE. GOOD LUCK.

It is VITAL that you have your digoxin level checked. There is a narrow therapeutic range. Too little, and the drug won't do its job; too much, and you can experience digoxin toxicity.
The dose varies among individuals. Call your doctor and schedule a blood test NOW.
