Unfortunately, it is illegal to donate prescription medication. Kudos for thinking about other people, but there are programs from the manufacturers where people can get their medications for either free or VERY cheap. Also, Walmart has a program and sells a lot of their medications for $4.

No where will except insulin which has been prescribed for someone else, there are different makes of insulin and also how do people know it hasn't been tampered with (not that I'm saying you would) but it's very dangerous to just give prescribed medicine away

In Vancouver, WA we have a free clinic that accepts and re-distributes viable medications. Check your phone book or try calling the hospital or a regular physicians' clinic.

Depending on where you live, you could go to your local www.craigslist.com and ask if anyone could use it for free.

I have done this with several items but not insulin, I need mine :)

Good samartian you are, wanting to give to someone who needs.

Sadly, no. For safety reasons, it's actually illegal to give it to someone else. So there are no programs for this. Just throw it away. :-(
