Better safe than sorry, testing is quick and cheap.

HIV can be acquired from oral sex as well and from infected blood from transfusions. Always use a condom as well.

Chances are the are not infected, but don't take unnecessary risks.

The answer is YES. If the person has the virus. Remember a child born with HIV can grow to maybe 15 years. With treatment, they are able to live longer.
So being a virgin doesnt neccessarily mean they are HIV negative. You should use a condom no matter what.

Yes. Anyone can catch the HIV virus, even from something as simple as a visit to the denist!

Today's modern screening practices make transmission more difficult from non-sexual or needle occurrances, but do not be fooled.

HIV can be transmitted through many ways, not just sex or needle abuse.

Not unless she was in close contact with an HIV+ individual, or got it from use of needles or a transfusion in the past.

No, you can't catch HIV from someone who is a virgin and has never been infected by some other means. Pregnancy is still a concern, however.

Yes because that person could have used the HIV persons personal belongings then you could catch it. That person might have used a needle or a earring from the disease person. You could catch it from a virgin if they werent catious about what they were using from someone else.

There is the possibility that the person has an HIV infection (or any other std for that reason). The only way to be sure is if they get tested.

HIV may not be a risk.
but guess what? Hepatitis, several venereal diseases are still available, and then there is the good old fashioned urinary tract infection.
follow the advise that others already posted, wear condoms. or if allergic to latex, there are a new type of non latex condoms. still good.

Be safe and hopefully you care for this person and are not just "trying to nail dat"

YES YES YES. but it would be VERY RARE occurance. Reasoning, HIV can be transmitted by means other than sexual intercourse. So there could always be a slight chance that the person contracted HIV by some other means.
