Pig meat is infested with worms (i.e. tape worms) because they eat their own and other pigs' feaces where bacteria live and which turn into worms that can be carried into your body if you eat it.
Also if you kill an animal the best way is to slaughter it so that all the blood can come out of the body-pigs have no neck, therefore they cannot be slaughtered therefore the blood left in the meat turns toxic.
Meat from a pig also is very high in fat therefore bad for you.
Aside from all this any meat from a pig is prohibited by the Bible and the Qu'ran

I personally cannot eat pork, because I have a very tough case of pork intolerance. My body reacts very negatively to enzymes carried by pigs. The few times I did try to eat pork, I also hated the taste. Yuck!
Why is it that every time I tell someone I can't eat pork, they assume I am Jewish? Just wondering.

Silly question to ask vegans and vegetarians.
Pork is fine. Make sure it's fully cooked or you can get parasites (although this is true of most meats, and the worms that used to be common problems with pork is rarely the case in the developed world anymore).
Eating too much of anything is bad for you. Go ahead and enjoy your pork chop.

It's not bad for you.
Pork contains many of the nutrients recommended to build and maintain a healthy body, including six essential vitamins, four important minerals and protein. Pork contains Thiamine, Riboflavin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Pantothenate, Phosphorus, Magnisiu, Iron and Zinc and is a good source of complete protein.
Fats nothing that bad, it is recommended you have some fat in your diet, and as long as you don't overdose and you're lifestyle contains regular excercise. Fat is energy, by excercising you use it up.
Lots of peole do claim that pork is unhealthy because it contains saturated fat (animal fat is saturated fat). However any excess calories in your diet, any excess sugar, starch or carbohydrates are stored in your body for later use. This is done by turning them into saturated fats, as obviously any fat in your body is animal fat.
Not eating saturated fat doesn't mean you won't end up with loads inside you, and to say pork is bad because it contains fat and fat is bad is very misleading.
Anyway saturated fats from animal sources provide a concentrated source of energy in the diet; they also provide the building blocks for cell membranes and a variety of hormones and hormonelike substances. Fats as part of a meal slow down absorption so that we can go longer without feeling hungry. In addition, they act as carriers for important fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K. Dietary fats are needed for the conversion of carotene to vitamin A, for mineral absorption and for a host of other processes.

There was a time when pork was too fatty in nature, and it was not good for you.
But developments in US agriculture have made it possible to raise pigs that are not as fat as cattle, and the fat content of the pork is very low. Pork is actually very GOOD FOOD. You should eat a lot of it. (unless you are Jewish or Muslim, in which case it is a violation of your religious beliefs).

Pork is, in fact, good for you.
It's vegetarianism that is not good for you. Don't get me wrong. Vegetarianism can be a healthy diet when done correctly. However, most people do it incorrectly. Not only is that unhealthy but it is inimical to life (you cannot survive on an incorrect vegetarian diet). The average vegetarian cheats. He eats mostly processed foods, fortified with the nutrients needed for survival. He does this because he really does not enjoy and can't bring himself to eat the strict, bland, rather non-sensual diet of correct vegetarianism. Processed foods, including processed vegetarian foods are unhealthy in the extreme. You might as well be eating fast food....that's how unhealthy they are. That's not even counting ridiculous food choices (like potato chips, many vegetarians think are OK to eat).
Eating fresh pork you cooked yourself is extremely healthy compared to this. This is extremely easy to see. Pull a lipid panel and maybe a CBC and SMAC-20 after being on both diets for awhile. You will see a dramatic difference in the healthiness of the resulting blood chemistries. Eat a correct vegetarian diet and you will get a healthy profile. Eat incorrectly and it looks like someone eating McDonald's for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Why would pork not be good for you? A little of everything is fine, so long as you don't go crazy with the pork scratchings, yummmmm!
