Yes,especially since I'm a guy.You don't know how much I get questioned for being vegan, even moreso since I'm a guy.I don't really care, but sometimes it get annoying. One time I was at my great grandma's house and some of my uncles were joking around with me and stuff, but they were the only one's laughing at their stupid jokes.I finally got pissed and said "Whoever here that hasn't had a heart attack raise your hand",that shut them the f*ck up.I felt kinda bad,but they got what was coming to them.None of the guys in my family can talk sh*t because they are overweight diabetics,my dad has diabetes,my grandpa has it,my great grandpa had his legs amputated form it and died from complications of diabetes. They constantly have to check their bloodsugars and whatnot,so I don't have to deal with all that. They can laugh their asses to the hospital in an ambulance when they have a heart attack or stroke.

Most people that become vegan or vegetarian are questioned all the time for a long time, especially when you just meet people. Some are just interested, and others can be incredibly obnoxious. You choose to be a vegan or vegetarian because of a few reasons. One would be religious. Another is the way animals or treated, or the fact that it's healthier not to eat things that come from animals.

When I first started my vegetarian lifestyle, people questioned me all the time. When I meet new people, I still get questioned. But, for the most part, people are pretty understanding now.
(Vegetarian for 12 years.)

I do. it somewhat is the nicely suited difficulty to do, animals are dealt with horribly and we have not have been given any ideal to kill them for our egocentric needs. it is likewise undesirable for the atmosphere. think of roughly it, how lots land and nutrition is wasted, how lots gasoline is used, how lots extra advantageous animal waste is created to enhance animals in meat industries? the respond: lots. the beef industry has a larger carbon footprint than the motor vehicle industry in usa. lots of folk stay completely healthily with none meat in any respect. Pescetarian - Eats seafood/fish and dairy, yet not different animals like cows, chickens, or turkeys. Vegetarian - Eats dairy yet no animals, including seafood Vegan - would not consume animals of any form or dairy. (Milk, honey, eggs, something from an animal extremely.) i think of taking infant steps is a sturdy thank you to bypass, appreciably changing your weight loss software in one day is the two undesirable and perplexing. decrease beef (pig and cow) out of your weight loss software for some months. (lots of folk try this basically for wellness reasons in any case, it somewhat is extremely undesirable for you.) Then bypass pescetarian, then vegetarian, then finally vegan. i became a pescetarian for 2 years in the previous I went vegetarian. i've got been slowly working in direction of vegan for a while now haha.

Actually, from my perspective as a meat eater, I admire vegetarians. I know many, if not all the reasons people choose to become veggie only eaters. If I could only give up bacon and eggs and prime rib, I would be right there with ya! But alas, I am weak, the lobster is also my biggest weakness. I love the animals too...just differently.

Yes, people question me constantly. I choose to remain a vegetarian because I didn't make this decision for other people. This is for me and the animals.

Yeah, everyone is always asking me why I wanted to become a veg. I try to be understanding because they are just interested and concered. Many people dont understand my new and different lifestyle. They want to know if it is healthy, and they want to know that I am being safe. So I try to be understanding and answer their questions as honestly and best as possible.

Absolutely. The best example would be my family. They all respect my choice to be vegan, but I would say about half of the family thinks that veganism is not healthy. They aren't doing it to be mean or argumentative, but it is still very frustrating.

I've seen that video.
It didn't inspire me to give up meat. It inspired me to lobby for safe and humane farming practices.
But thank you for pointing it out, anyway. I think there are a lot of people who should see it.

yes! it's amazing that people will grill you on your choice of what to eat when they would never question you about anything else! very rude! i guess they feel that as they are in the majority, they have the right to ridicule us as a group.
