I think it depends on your reasons. If you are doing it to be different or fashionable, your Dad probably realizes that and keeps pushing it in front of you. If you truly want to become vegan for ethical reasons or for your health, then sit down, explain this like an adult to your Dad, and ask him to respect your
beliefs. Hope this helps.

He is likely having one or more of the following problems:
1. He fears it will ruin his own life. A lot of vegans constantly bother everyone especially in their house about them not being vegans. If you are the only vegan in your house expect to cook everything you eat yourself. Asking your family to change everything to suit you is not fair. Some vegan stuff can also be expensive and maybe he doesn't have an extra $50 a week to put your stuff in the fridge.
2. He is concerned for your health. Whether justified or not, he is your loving father and wants to keep you healthy.
I give you 3-5 years until you develop B12 deficiency and you become anemic and tired all the time. It ALWAYS happens to vegans unless they take the B12 supplements. But make no mistake - that B12 is animal derived. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either lying or misinformed.

Being a true vegan is definately a lifestyle choice that will take some work getting used to, but the health benefits are great! I'm a vegetarian (but am working toward vegan), and feel your pain about your family not understanding... Mine gives me hell nearly every day. I just chalk it up to their being uncomfortable with someone who chooses to shun something so commonly accepted. Or maybe they feel guilty about eating dead animals when your around because it makes them aware of what they're doing.
And soy milk is relatively cheap. Not much more than regular milk, and MUCH better for you. Plus, the chocolate kind is DELISH! In addition to soy milk, there are also other types that are fantastic such as rice milk and almond milk. Try different brands to find the one you like the best!
Good luck!

He's probably worried about your health, and rightly so.
If you don't do it right, you can have serious nutritional deficiencies on a vegan diet. You'll need to supplement vitamin B12, some amino acids, and other nutrients.
Why not do a little research, and put together a healthy vegan meal plan, a list of supplements, and a shopping list, and discuss these things with your dad? Then he can see that you're serious about it, and can still be healthy.
