For some reason, I can't quite picture what happened to your friend... But never mind.

Apparently, AIDS comes from monkeys. But no other animal can pass it on to human beings, even if there was sexual intercourse (zoophilia). That being said, you CAN catch an STD if you have sex with an animal.

Animals don't have the form of AIDS that we human beings carry.

That's about it.

Possibly...if blood from the animal got into a wound would be a primary source, if the animal has AIDS or HIV is the main variable though. Its true that a mosquito CAN give someone HIV. So if a mosquito carrying the HIV cell infected an animal and the animal contracted the disease, and the blood form the infected animal got into your blood stream it is possible to contract HIV.

yes. the first North American Aids outbreak came from a man traveling from india who had relations with a monkey. The monkey was carrying a form of the virus that developed into AIDS.

Originally, AIDS is thought to have been from monkeys. However, I don't think dogs and cats are carriers.

Yup. That's how aids came into the human population. By a monkey they say. Theres all kinds of diseases that animals can pass on to humans. And we in turn pass diseases on to animals.

Its a vicious circle.

well i dont think they will get aids if there was no fluid to fluid contact. i mean they may wanna go have bloodwork done for peace of mind because ya know aids/hiv was passed to humans from moneys so ANIMALS DO GET AIDS. i dont believe ur friend can get anything. its like catching feline leukimia.

No. Cows, cats, monkeys and household pets have viruses similar to HIV which cause diseases comparable to AIDS among those animals. However, none of these viruses can be transmitted to human beings.

I have heard that gonorrhea started from sheep. I have heard of the monkey connection to AIDS. Not so sure it has been proven. You leave them alone they'll leave you alone?
