Most people contract it through sex,and others from sharing needles while doing drugs. These are the major ways of getting exposed to hiv.The others can probably be classed as industrial accidents which are minimal anyway. As for anal sex,if one has penetrative anal sex with someone who is a carrier,it is my opinion that they cannot contract the virus, only if they have a laceration, then the virus will have an entrance into their blood stream. With a womans anatomy,i am not quite sure how this occurs.Same goes for shared needles, share a needle with some one who is infected, and the same happens.Well, everybody has sex and there is a great number of youths who are into drug culture and tend to let their guard down a bit ,thats why so many people have hiv in the world today.

I wonder where they got those facts. Because, if it's true, it means that, if you're a girl and have sex with a guy who is infected, it means that you only have 0.1 chance of getting infected...
Good question. I would say I really would like to know where they got those numbers, and how they were actually able to get those results.

exposure doesnt necessarily mean contract.

it may be a true stat, but that website isnt that credible.

anybody can submit anything on there- I'm not even allowed to use it as a source in college.

This is easy--Wikapedia is not a credible source anyone can go on there and claim what ever they want--go to the government website in your country-- they will have all the stats and it is sad!!! Be careful out there!
