The drugs don't cause HIV it's a virus and you have to come in contact with the virus to contract it & the sharing of intervenous drugs or coming in contact with bodily fluids of an infected person will expose you to the virus. Protect yourself. Happy New Year.

It's not the drugs themselves that cause HIV, but the administration with an infected needle through the intravenous route. If the drug abuser uses a needle that was used by someone else who has HIV or hepatitis or a host of other blood-borne diseases, he/she can become infected themselves.

FYI: Intravenous means "in the veins" or that the drug is beng placed in the veins.

there are none
US hospitals do a fairly good job with infection control as well. its always sterilized or unused needles.

HIV is actually not as much of a medical concern when it comes to needles. it only lives outside of the body for less than a minute.

Hepatitis are th more dangerous ones, and deadly as well. It lives 8 hours outside of the body.
however, intervenes drugs are are given with great precaution on disease transmission, so its not likely that it will happen

Its not that the drugs caus HIV, but the shared needles used to take them. If you share a needle with someone who is HIV positive, you could contract the disease.

any time you use an infected needle you have the possibility of contracting HIV.

the drugs themselves don't cause it unless they are contaminated.

If you insist on using drugs, be safe about it. Don't share needles

needles used by people with HIV can give you the disease. The specific drug has no relevance whatsoever. In fact, it could be marshmellows.

None, it is not the drugs that cause the disease. It is the sharing of dirty needles.
