Yep. Anything like religion is dangerous.
If you REALLY want to get dangerous, go to politics and immigration.

I think there are probably sad people in all the different categories . There are some people who I've seen spending all their time in Vegetarian & Vegan who are obviously only in it to cause trouble, and can imagine that it's the same in Religion & Spirituality. . They all want to get a life and use this site for what it's meant for!

I participate in both groups, and as far as I can tell, it's about equal. The odds are good that there'll be some kind of fight going on in both sections, along with a bunch of name-calling and general nastiness.
It may not be the same people in both groups, but the behavior patterns are certainly identical. "Agreeing to disagree" and respecting the other person aren't big concepts for a lot of folks, that's for sure.

Some people post in a variety of categories (I do) and either peruse them or scroll the main page for recently asked questions in any category and go to those that catch their eye.
Don't worry about the people with poor manners...remember most of them are cowards that only post as they do because they are online and 'safe'. State your honest view (within TOS and Community Guidelines) on any question and don't worry about those who disagree. That's just part of life...
Some people's mommas didn't raise them right...

It isn't hte vegans or vegetarians who are xtreme,it is the meat eaters who come to this section and bash on vegans and vegetarians, posting questions like "plants have feelings too" and "god put animals on earth for us to eat" and "if we aren't supposed to eat animals then why are they made out of meat".I don't think anyone is as persistent as foxhunter_guy is though. All he does is post questions making fun of vegans.

Both are filled with militants, who have closed minds to any other point of view other than their own, and pass quick judgement on people they don't even know. The majority of them are sad, little people, who preach tolerance and rights for people and animals, but then don't practice it.
I guess it's the old addage " Do as I say not as I do."

You are perfectly safe in this section -- so long as you agree with everything the vegans say.

You generally get better spelling in the vegetarian section.

Vegetarians and vegans are more aggressive than religious extremists. Could be Bush' next target!
