3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

Anxiety can play some pretty cruel tricks on your body, including elevating ones blood pressure.
Are you taking your B/P on your left arm? How often are you taking it? reason I ask is that if you keep taking your B/P time after time without waiting at least taking a 15 minute break you will experience the problem in your left are that you are explaining. Even with a break between checking you can still overdue it to where you will experience pain and numbness .

The top # is not that bad its the bottom # that is bad.
Are you in the middle of an anxiety attack? If so what do you usually take for it. You should take it right now if you have something.
Have you ever had this symptom before when you have had an anxiety attack? If the answer is no. You should go to the ER and get checked out. Chances are its just a side effect of your anxiety ( you are probably hyperventilating, breath slowly into a paper bag)but better be safe.
all the best

Your blood pressure is slightly elevated...120/80 is considered normal for an adult. You mention you have anxiety...are you hyperventilating? If so that can cause numbness and tingling...try breathing into a paperbag as your carbon dioxide is too low. If you aren't hyperventilating and you have pain in your left arm, it can be related to your heart and you should go to the ER and get checked. Either way, if you are concerned, go to the ER, better to be safe than sorry!

Yes, I think you should rush over there right away.
I hate to say the word "stroke," but you could be having one. Weakness on one side of the body is a MAJOR indicator of stroke.
In fact, if you have health insurance coverage, you might want to call an ambulance, because you'll get seen quicker.
But this sounds like it could be an emergency situation, so get off the 'puter and get to the ER immediately!
Take care.

I have anxiety too and sometimes I feel like I am going to pass out. With anxiety your b/p can go up as well. However, rather than be sorry later you need to be checked out right away. You should also see your family doctor to prescribe something for your anxiety. Good luck!

You have hypertension. Your blood pressure should be below 120/80. Hypertension can lead to renal damage/failure(kidney), so you should go to the doctor as soon as possible and get it under control.
