No, sex has nothing to do with diabetes, it has different forms and they are related to many factors.
Type 1 diabetes occurs when your body produces antibodies that destroy insulin producing cells called islets. This is a hereditary disease and the reason for it is not completely know, but some of the factors that may lead to it are. You can research it through the American or Canadian Diabetes Association.
Type 2 diabetes can be either insulin dependent ot non-insulin dependent, and can be caused by obesity, pregancy, heredity, and many other things, either alone or together.

Now with sex you still need to worry about Sexually Tranmitted Diseases, and there are many...some curable, so not so with sex always remember to be safe, no mater what. The STD's can be a whole lot worse then diabetes!

Absolutely not.

I will clarify something Aligal8 said about type ones. It's not that the beta cells don't make insulin. The problem is a type one's immune system attacks the beta cells as though they are foreign objects and destroys them. So, there are in essence no beta cells to produce insulin. It's sort of like haywire programming. Without the beta cell, type ones are totally dependent on an external source of insulin.

It is a disease of the pancreas (not the thyroid---your thyroid has nothing to do with developing diabetes!) related to the beta cells that secrete insulin. I will try to put this in easy to understand nontechnical language...In type two diabetes the body's cells become "immune" to the effects of insulin causing the beta cells to secrete increased amounts to the the point the beta cells start to fail and insulin production is greatly reduced. In type one diabetes the beta cells of the pancreas does not secrete insulin at all, hence the reason it is also referred to as "insulin dependent diabetes".
It is not an STD, you cannot get diabetes from sex...

No.

On second thought, you actually CAN get diabetes from having sex. It's true.

Having sex CAN lead to pregnancy. During pregnancy, you CAN get "gestational diabetes". However, that's the only way you can get diabetes from having sex.

NO - but during sex you could use up your energy and be low in sugar. Diabetes develops if one is prone by DNA and then is either over-weight, or does poor excercise. DNA alone can bring on this disease.

Oh God.

Please dont have sex. You're way too stupid for it. You'll end up pregnant or infected with some STD.

What on earth would make you think you could get diabetes from sex? Lol.

No. Diabetes is brought on by diet or family history. I have been a diabetic for 11 years...but no way is this given by having sex - oral or normal.

No because diabetes is either herreditary or genetic. So, it's not contagious.

NO, now if you have the genes in you and have a child, your child may be prone to having diabetes.
