I'm desperate for dip recipes I can make easily from what I have in my pantry, as I can't get to the store.

Does anybody know a Bean dip recipe? I have cans of refried beans, canned jalapenos and cream cheese/sour cream. Also a Bacon horseradish dip? I have bacon, hoseradish, cr, cheese and sour cr. And anything else, like a clam dip? Or a "Cheeseball"(have cream cheese, cheddar, condiments, spices and nuts. Any help would be sincererly appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like you have plenty of good staples for putting together some dips. Here are a few suggestions:

Cream Cheese
Dill
Minced onion (that has been sauteed in butter until soft)
Garlic powder (or fresh garlic sauteed until soft)
Salt

Mix all ingredients together. Shape into a ball and roll in crushed nuts or crackers. Serve as a cheesball with crackers/veggies.

Refried beans
Chopped jalapenos
Cheddar cheese
Sour Cream
Bacon

Heat beans until warmed through. Add jalapenos and cheddar and mix until cheese starts to melt. Place in dish as first layer. Top with a layer of sour cream. Then a layer of crumbled bacon. Serve.

REFRIED BEAN DIP

1 can (1 lb.) refried beans
1 c. (1/4 lb.) shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. chili powder, to taste
4 oz. can taco sauce
Crisp-fried corn tortilla chips

Mix together the refried beans, cheese, salt, chili powder and taco sauce. Place in a small pan. Cook over low heat, stirring until heated. Keep warm; serve with tortilla chips for "dippers". Makes about 3 cups.

You can add chopped green onions or olives to this as well.

Bacon Cheddar Cheeseball
Ingredients:
16 ounces cream cheese -- softened
1/2 pound grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped green onions
6 slices bacon -- cooked and crumbled
1 Clove garlic -- minced
3 tablespoons pimiento -- minced
3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley

Directions:

Combine all ingredients, mixing well. Form into a ball; cover with plastic film. Refrigerate overnight to allow flavors to blend.

Take the bean dip and make a layered dip with what you have. Do you have shredded cheese you can throw on top as well??and some salsa as a layer if you have it maybe. Starting with the bottom---bean dip (you can mix with the taco seasoning if you have any--if not, that's fine too), sour cream, salsa, cheese, peppers. Wa-la! It's not 7 layers, but it'll work!

I can't help with the others. Sorry!

well here is a recipe for some taco dip that I am making for my party
this takes 15 minutes to put together and 30-60 minutes to cool off
you will need:
1 can of re-fried beans
1 lb of hamburger meat
1 pouch of taco seasoning (might be optional but it adds flavor)
some avocado dip (optional)
sour cream
olives (optional)
and shredded cheese
a rectangular dish about 1.5 inches deep (what you would use for lasagna)

Procedure:
1: cook the hamburger meat and taco seasoning as directed on the package
2: spread the re-fried beans on the bottom of the dish
3: place the taco meat evenly on top of the beans
4: continue layering the items in this order: sour cream or avocado (those are interchangeable), olives, and finally cheese
5: cover in tin foil and place in refrigerator for 30 minutes to an hour, or until beef is cooled off
6: use tortilla chips to dip and enjoy

How about your own Bean dip using the refried beans. This is what I would do:

Put the refried beans in a bowl. Put Gucamole on top of it.
Put salsa on top of it. Put tortilla chips around the entire bowl so your guests would use the chips to dip.
